* Strong experience in SQL and PL/SQL tuning. Writes and reviews SQL, stored procedures and makes recommendations for optimization
* Support and maintain Oracle RDBMS 10g and 11g environments on Linux Environment
* Strong Oracle database and Oracle RAC implementations experience and troubleshooting skills in mission critical

Responsibilities:
* Monitors daily DW, UCM data base server performance and makes changes as needed.
* Perform advanced database administration activities includes; installation, configuration, monitoring, space management, database backup and recovery.
* Plan and perform data migrations and database application upgrades from Oracle 9g to Oracle 10g or 11g
* Support and manage database backup and recovery solutions
* Performance tune Data Warehouse/MDM databases by using available tools, such as, STATSPACK or AWR Reports
* Prepare implementation plans for MDM/DW/BI application upgrades, capacity planning, and configuration management; coordinate the rollout by closely working with DSS support team.
* Create and maintain team automation scripts for various tasks using Perl scripting languages

1. Patience

If you're patient, you let customers decide at their own speed.  You realize that nobody ever got a plant to grow faster by pulling at the leaves of a seedling. If you lack patience, you'll be frustrated whenever things take longer than you'd like. Customers will sense your frustration and hesitate to buy.

2. Commitment

If you're truly committed to both your customer's success and your own success, you'll do whatever it takes (within legal and ethical bounds) to get the job done. You'll banish all thoughts of ever giving up. If you lack commitment, you'll consistently fail to follow through–and will often drop the ball at the worst possible moment.
